Though his attention had been fixed on the scarecrow, sharp hearing detects the rustle of grass. He spins around to confront the intruder, met with a Slowbro who seems utterly oblivious to its surroundings.

It's to the creature's detriment, the blue-furred midnight Lycanroc who led Gavin's pack LASHING OUT in a brutal flash of fang and claw. Gavin's surprised to see a weak attempt to headbutt the werewolf, in lieu of any Water-type move... perhaps it didn't have one.

The other members of the pack close in, and Slowbro falls.

Gavin is not easily startled.

When a Wimpod startled by the snarling of the Lycanroc pack leaps out of the scarecrow like some sort of chest-burster, however, even Rocket's stoic underboss takes a few alarmed steps away from the straw effigy.

Then he laughs, when he realises what's happened.

"What the fuck."

The dogs descend upon the wimpy little creature, chasing it off as it WIMPS OUT.

Running a hand through his hair in a self-soothing gesture, Gavin lights up a cigarette and steps away from the now-destroyed Halloween decoration.

A mighty roar shakes the route as a Gyarados bursts from the sea with a vengeance, scattering ocean spray and sending a poor kid's Wobbufet flying with a smack of its AQUA TAIL.

Terrifying as it was, the pack descend upon it fearlessly with ROCK SLIDES and STONE EDGE, burying the titan of the sea in a makeshift cairn of boulders. The child is crying, whether due to their fainted Wobuffet or witnessing Gavin's Lycanroc obliterate the Gyarados, and Gavin makes the decision to call it a day. He wasn't in the mood to answer to an angry parent.

Calling back the wolves with a sharp whistle, he returns them to their pokeballs and TELEPORTS away.
